Scholarship Information
Scholarship applications are limited to 300 words using Times New Roman 12-point type in Microsoft Word format only.
Your name must be clearly written on the application.
Each Scholarship application must indicate:
why they are interested in attending SHRC
what if any experience do they have in the field of harm reduction
what they are hoping to learn from the conference
how they will transfer information learned during the conference back to their community
why do they require a scholarship
what type of scholarship they will need (i.e. Registration and/or Boarding)?
Scholarship applications must be submitted via Google Forms located on this page. For those who may have barriers in submission electronically, please reach out to us via email or phone and we will assist in submitting your application.
Scholarship applications must be received by 11:59 PM Tuesday, September 10th, 2024. Scholarship applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Scholarship applications must be submitted in English.
Priority will be given to individuals with lived experiences.
Scholarship will cover either A) registration or B) registration and boarding*. For those whose applications have been accepted, follow-up email communication will indicate the type of scholarship to each selected recipient.
Scholarships will NOT cover travel or meals.
Scholarships may NOT be transferred.
*Please note as a scholarship recipient you will be placed in the room with another scholarship recipient. Two people per room, please indicate in your application if you would like to be roomed with a specific scholarship applicant.
Emails regarding scholarship awards will be sent out 3-4 weeks after the submission deadline. If you receive an awarded scholarship. You MUST confirm attendance by the date indicated in the email or your scholarship will be passed to the next applicant.
